Rimi started her musical journey from the small age of 5. She got a strong musical feedback from her family as her father himself a renowned singer awarded with SURSINGAR, and performed in SAREGAMA senior special. Taking the preliminary tutelage from her parents she preceded for further knowledge of music from many musical gurus in her locality. Finally she got the chance to learn music from one of our nation’s pride Pt. Channulal Mishra, a well known classical singer and the THUMRI SARTAJ of Kirana & Benaras Gharana from Benaras. Rimi has got the versatility in her voice, thus can perform any kind of Indian and western music.
Rimi is recording her voice in most of the renowned studios of Mumbai for the playback. Few of her songs and albums have been released recently. Like... RIMI Was among the Top 10 Finalists Of Zee TV's SAREGAMAPA VISHWA UDDHA 2007. She was in the gharana of Ismail Darbar. Well appreciated by all the maha gurus like ASHA BHOSLE JI, GHULAM ALI JI, ANAND JI (KALYAN JI), RAJESH ROSHAN JI, KHAYYAM JI for her versatile singing and got their blessings.
Got junior scholarship from CCRT national organization in the field of vocal classical at the age of 13.
Won many national level competitions like Sursangam, Master Madan (Delhi), Sursankalp, etc.
Peformed in the TV shows like ‘Door-Darshan Ke Sitare’, SAREGAMAPA children’s special of Zee TV and well appreciated in all.
